Mark Ewenson ~ 14 Soundscapes- 1986-1999/with Fabric layerism art series- 1999-2019
This 71 minute clip is a ‘pairing’ of my solo album music ; ’14 Soundscapes 1986-’99’, a series of industrial/psychedelic/ambient 4 track reel to reel tape recordings made in Melbourne and Venus Bay, Victoria, Australia…in combination with my visual art series; ‘Fabric and mixed media visions of the feminine form’ between the late 1990’s and 2019 I’ve called ‘Fabric Layerism’..

The Living Room ~ 1988-2000
‘The Living Room 1988-2000’ was based around the song writing duo of Chris Falcon Hill and Mark Ewenson, stemming from the alternative music culture in Melbourne, Australia of that time which embraced influences of post punk, jazz, industrial, alt rock, experimental, art rock, and new wave, along with ’60’s/’70’s rock and pop. The song writing (vocals, guitar, lyrics, melodies)is for the most part the work of Chris Falcon Hill with lots of co-writing and most of the recording/mixing by Mark Ewenson, and creative input from guest members. All the songs were recorded on TEAC 4 track analogue reel to reel tape with a few simple effects. Most of the tracks are multi instrumental recordings by Chris & Mark between 1988-‘90 (tracks 1,2,4,5,6,7) then a couple of different 3 and 4 piece bands between the mid ‘90’s to year 2000. Track 3(‘Buddha’) was ‘The Living Room’ trio(y.2000) Chris Falcon Hill; vocals/guitar, Mark Ewenson; drums, Nic Heraclides; bass // Track 8(‘Mellow Thing) was ‘Jezebell’ 4 piece band(1995-96) Chris Falcon Hill; vocals, guitar, Mark Ewenson; drums, Jo Dodds; backing vocals, Nick Fisher; bass // Track 7(‘Eternity’)was remixed & remastered by Terry McDermott in 1999…… All songs Copyright; Chris Falcon Hill & Mark Ewenson, The Living Room 1988-2000©️
